On devices with more than one GPU, make sure that the high performance GPU is used for browsing.
Windows 10: To enable high performance mode in Windows 10, take the following steps. Please note that this will make laptop batteries run down more quickly on all sites.
1 Find Graphics Settings in the Windows menu.
2 In the Graphics performance preference section, change the drop down to "Desktop app" and click the "Browse" button.
3 Select your Browser application in the dialog that opens, for example Chrome is usually installed at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"
4 This should add a control for your browser to the window. Click the "Options" button.
5 In the Graphics preference dialog that pops up, select "High performance" and click the "Save" button.
6 The Graphics settings window should now show "High performance" in the section for your browser.
7 Close all browser windows to ensure that your changes take effect. Open a new browser window and try heroforge.com again.
Update your browser.
Try a different browser.
We recommend Chrome. If Chrome runs slowly, Chrome might have stopped supporting your graphics hardware, so try Firefox.
If none of the above works, open Chrome, navigate to chrome://gpu/, press “Copy Report to Clipboard”, submit a ticket, and paste the output into the body of your ticket.
If you're seeing our site in low detail, your device is likely getting flagged as not having the hardware or features needed for our full resolution site. We occasionally update our site in ways that make it more graphically intense, so your device may get flagged even if it didn't before.
Here are a few things you can do to troubleshoot:
Adjust graphics level.
Navigate to the Info menu and select "Options." From there choose "Regular" instead of Auto. We choose a detail level automatically based on your device's specs, but this will override it.
Note that we disable some higher graphics levels on certain devices to prevent browser crashes.
